This was a big win for the Milwaukee Bucks as they won a game that was expected of them. These are the type of games that at times become trap games for Milwaukee. Memphis has not won a game since January and continue to struggle. The Grizzlies have now lost 18 games in a row!

BUCKS FALL TO ROCKETS, 110 – 99

Milwaukee, WI. – It is almost time to put the Milwaukee Bucks on the hot seat; yes, the entire organization. Entering into Wednesday evening’s contest as a definitive home underdog, the Bucks hoped to halt the streaking Houston Rockets. As every diehard Bucks backer knows, Milwaukee has been the site of several upsets that ended notable winning streaks. However, the stakes for Wednesday’s game felt much higher than merely breaking Houston’s 16-game run.

The Bucks have struggled since their return from the All-Star break, winning only 2 of their last 8 after taking to the court last night. Interim Head Coach Joe Prunty has been searching for answers after enjoying a brief, successful honeymoon in the immediate aftermath of Jason Kidd’s firing. What’s more, the Bucks have been experiencing this malaise in the midst of the most difficult, and arguably most important, stretch of their schedule.

Exciting and positive wins against the Raptors and Sixers have been punctuated by heart-breaking and sometimes brutal defeats at the hands of Eastern conference foes like the Pacers, Pistons and Wizards. Jabari Parker’s return to meaningful minutes has been overshadowed by a precipitous – and continuing – fall to the 7th and 8th seed. If the ship cannot be righted, there will be increasing pressure on the Bucks to make major changes in the coming offseason, both within the front office and to the roster itself.

To that end, the team’s main goal must to be to gear up for a playoff run against the NBA’s elite teams. The contest against the Rockets was almost certainly circled on the Bucks’ schedule as an opportunity to make a statement at home against a star-studded Houston squad. That makes the performance all the more disappointing, as the Bucks trailed from the opening tip.

BUCKS FALL TO ROCKETS

The team’s energy belied the fact that they have played several difficult games over the past two weeks. The Rockets performed well across the board, with five players scoring double digits. James Harden and Eric Gordon combined to produce offensive firepower that was simply too much for Milwaukee to overcome. The Bucks, as usual, were carried by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who had 30 points to go along with 7 rebounds. The team continues to struggle in deploying their offensive sets, and assists are hard to come by. Jason Terry, who has seen his usage spike tremendously in past weeks, led the team with only 5.

While the result may not be unexpected, Wednesday’s game still portends of a grave future for the Milwaukee Bucks. Without higher energy, increased contributions from role players and a focus on offensive motion, the Bucks will find it difficult to climb out of this 10-game rut. Sitting only 5 games ahead of the Detroit Pistons for the last spot in the East, the question of playoff seeding is quickly becoming a question of making the playoffs in the first place.

Bucks Lose 4th Straight To Indiana

Bucks Lose 4th Straight To Indiana tonight. The Bucks came into this game tonight in the 7th seed. They faced a tough Indiana Pacers team that gave the Bucks all they could handle tonight.

Every Pacers starter scored in double figures tonight as they came into Milwaukee and stopped the Bucks!Bucks Lose 4th Straight To Indiana

Ups & Down:

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a bad shooting night going 6 for 18 from the field. He forced shots and took bad shots down the stretch that didn’t help the comeback attempt. Khris Middelton had a strong game tonight dropping 30 points and shooting over 50% from the field well doing it.

The Bucks have now lost 4 straight games. This loss tonight sinks them deeper into the 7th seed. With less then 20 games left in the season the Bucks can not afford to drop key games against teams like the Pacers there competing with for seeding.

Bucks Destroyed By Pistons 110-87

Bucks Destroyed By Pistons

As feared the monster that is Andre Drummond totally dominated the Milwaukee Bucks in the paint and on the boards. Drummond snatched 16 boards to go along with his 15 points. And like that was not enough Detroit backup Power Forward Eric Moreland scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Blake Griffin was held to 8 points on 3 of 10 shooting from the field. But he got 9 boards himself to go along with 7 assists.

The Bucks Destroyed By Pistons in the paint! The Pistons grabbed 57 rebounds and scored 56 points in the paint. That 57 rebounds the Pistons got compares to the only 35 the Bucks got. Anytime the opposite team grabs 22 more rebounds then you and scores in the paint like that your in trouble!

Milwaukee Bucks shot 38% from the field and when your shooting a low percentage like that you can’t afford to be killed on the boards.

Giannis Eye Injury:

The 2nd leading scorer in the NBA and the Milwaukee Bucks poster boy Giannis Antetokounmpo left the game early with eye injuries. We hope that there not that serious and that he’s able to bounce right back and get back to 100%. It really sucks if we lose Giannis for an extended time especially after just getting Jabari Parker back after a year.

The now 7th seeded Milwaukee Bucks get back to action on Friday in Indiana vs the 5th seeded Pacers at 7pm.

Bucks vs Pistons Preview – Playoff Seeding On The Line!

Bucks vs Pistons Preview

With 22 games remaining in the 2017-2018 regular season schedule the Milwaukee Bucks sit at 6th in the east. After last nights loss to Washington they now sit one and a half games out of the 4th seed.

Bucks vs Pistons PreviewBucks vs Pistons Preview:

Tonight the Bucks face the 9th seeded 28-32 Detroit Pistons. Tonights game will be a test for the interior players on the Bucks roster. John Henson, Thon Maker and Tyler Zeller will have there hands full with the rebounding monster Andre Drummond. The Detroit Piston’s Center leads the league with 15.8 rebounds per game. Next to him is the explosive new Piston Blake Griffin who’s putting up 21.8 points per game.

Tonights game is not one the Bucks should take lightly. The Pistons might be coming off losing a couple games but there size and strength inside is serious. The Bucks need to move the ball and avoid one on one basketball that leaves 4 players watching.

Bucks Lose 107-104 To Wizards

Milwaukee, Wi – Tonight the Bucks Lose 107-104 To Wizards at the BMO Bradley center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In a game the Bucks never lead and trailed by 21 points in the First quarter, they managed to make a run in the second half and make things interesting.

TNT Broadcast on NBA TV

The game was highlighted on the Bucks side by Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak had 26 Points, 13 rebounds, 8 Assists and 6 Blocks! Including the monster block pictured in the image above. But he came up short at the end of the game with a turn around shot in the paint that could have tied the game.

The Problem With The Bucks Last Possession:

As I look deeper I could not help but notice the lack of proper execution and play calling on the Greek Freaks potiential game winning shot. Everybody stood around as Giannis battled for position and to get into the paint for the shot. I feel the lineup was wrong and Giannis should have been joined on the floor with 4 other Bucks who were threats to hit an outside shot in an attempt to keep the defense honest.

Disappointing Play:

John Henson was awful in the 4th quarter and costed the Bucks several baskets from not finishing layups or not catching passes at critical points in the game. When Henson replaced Snell the Bucks were on fire and Washington was back peddling but I “The Hook” threw the rhythm off offensively and did little to none on defense and to rebound. We must get better play out of John Henson and the Center position. Guys gotta step up if we hope to truly compete this year in the eastern conference playoffs.

In Closing:

The Bucks Lose 107-104 To Wizards tonight but overall are still 10 and 5 over the last 15 games! They head to Detroit tomorrow to face a Pistons team thats lost 3 straight. The game can been seen tomorrow on FSWI at 6pm.
